Agreement

By downloading, accessing or using Dive Bar Finder, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and responsible use

The app is intended for people aged 17 or older. You are responsible for obeying local laws, age restrictions and venue rules. Dive Bar Finder does not encourage excessive drinking. Never drink and drive, and do not rely on the app when making safety-critical decisions.

What the service provides

Dive Bar Finder helps users discover possible dive, punk, goth, rock, metal and alternative bars using third-party venue information, search signals and community contributions. Results are recommendations, not guarantees. Venue character is subjective.

Opening hours, prices, events, accessibility, ratings, photographs, addresses and other venue details can be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. Confirm important information directly with the venue before travelling.

Your account

Some features require Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Apple account and device. Do not attempt to access another person’s account or circumvent authentication, purchase or location-verification systems.

You may delete your Dive Bar Finder account from Settings in the app. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Community contributions

You may approve a venue as a dive bar, flag unsuitable results or submit a missing venue. Contributions must be honest, relevant and based on genuine knowledge or visits. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or misleading material, personal information about another person, or content you do not have the right to provide.

You grant Fear Army LTD a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and display your contributions as necessary to operate, moderate and improve Dive Bar Finder. We may remove, suppress or disregard contributions at our discretion.

Check-ins

Check-ins are designed to record genuine visits and require recent, sufficiently accurate location data near the venue. You must not spoof location, automate check-ins or manipulate achievements or community signals.

Subscriptions and purchases

Premium subscriptions and lifetime purchases are offered through Apple’s App Store. Prices, billing periods and any available introductory offer are shown by Apple before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple handles billing, refunds and payment information under its terms.

Deleting the app or your Dive Bar Finder account does not cancel a subscription. Premium access may be restored using Restore Purchases where supported.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, scrape or copy it at scale, probe security, bypass rate limits, reverse engineer protected service components, introduce malicious code, impersonate others or use the service in violation of law or third-party rights.

Third-party services

The app uses services supplied by Apple, Google, Cloudflare, Meta and other providers. Maps, directions, venue data, payments, identity services and external websites are governed by their respective terms. Fear Army LTD is not responsible for third-party services or venue conduct.

Intellectual property

Dive Bar Finder, its design, software, branding and original content belong to Fear Army LTD or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, limits, pricing or content. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, providers or the service.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Fear Army LTD does not guarantee that results are accurate, suitable, safe or available. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to those mandatory rights, Fear Army LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, venue closures, travel costs, personal decisions, third-party conduct or events outside our reasonable control arising from use of the service.

Apple terms

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Dive Bar Finder.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights and local jurisdiction protections that apply to you.
